Important Notice
MovieFarming is a discovery and metadata aggregator that links to official streaming providers. We do not store, host, or upload any video files. Takedown requests for content hosted on third-party streaming sites must be directed to those sites directly.
// 01. DMCA Policy Overview
Our Approach to Copyright
MovieFarming respects the intellectual property rights of creators, studios, distributors, and rights holders. We operate strictly as a discovery and aggregation service: we index publicly available movie and TV metadata, write original editorial guides, and link out to official streaming providers such as Netflix, Max, Disney+, Prime Video, Hulu, Apple TV+, and others. We do not host, stream, transmit, cache, or store any video, audio, or subtitle content on our own infrastructure.
Because we do not host or transmit copyrighted audiovisual works, the vast majority of takedown requests we receive relate to metadata, artwork, or links pointing to third-party streaming pages. We take every legitimate notice seriously and act on valid notices within 24 hours of receipt. This page explains exactly how to file a notice, what information is required, how to file a counter-notice if you believe a takedown was made in error, and how our repeat infringer policy works.

All DMCA notices must be sent to the designated agent above. Notices sent to general support channels may experience processing delays. We acknowledge receipt of every valid notice within 24 hours and resolve valid takedowns within the same window.
// 03. Filing a Takedown Notice
To file a copyright infringement notification with us, you will need to send a written communication (email is acceptable) that includes all of the following elements. Incomplete notices will be returned for clarification and will not be acted upon until complete:
- Identification of the copyrighted work — A clear description of the original copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are involved, list each one separately. For audiovisual works, include the title, release year, and (where applicable) the studio or rights holder.
- Identification of the infringing material — The exact URL on moviefarming.com where the allegedly infringing content appears (for example,
https://www.moviefarming.com/movie/<slug>). If the complaint relates to a streaming link rather than hosted content, include the link reference and the third-party destination it points to. - Your contact information — Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and a valid email address at which we can reach you. If you are acting on behalf of a rights holder, identify the rights holder and your authority to act on their behalf.
- Good-faith belief statement— A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law (for example, "I have a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted materials described above as allegedly infringing is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.").
- Statement under penalty of perjury— A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
- Physical or electronic signature — A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf. Typing your full legal name at the end of the email constitutes an electronic signature for these purposes.
Send the completed notice to dmca@moviefarming.com. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability.
// 04. Counter-Notification
Counter-Notice Requirements
If you believe that content you submitted or linked to was removed from MovieFarming in error or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with our designated agent. A valid counter-notice must include: identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it appeared before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification; your full name, address, telephone number, and email address; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which MovieFarming may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original takedown notice or their agent.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward a copy to the original complaining party. If the original complainant does not file an action seeking a court order against the material within 10 to 14 business days, we will restore the removed material. Counter-notices should be sent to dmca@moviefarming.comwith the subject line "Counter-Notification."
// 05. Repeat Infringer Policy
Repeat Infringer Consequences
In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), MovieFarming maintains a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. Because most of our service is available without an account, "repeat infringer" in our context refers to any party that has been the subject of three or more valid DMCA takedown notices within a rolling 12-month period. Such parties may be blocked at the IP or account level, and any subsequent submissions from them will be rejected.
// 06. Important Notes
Not a Hosting Service
MovieFarming is not a hosting service. We do not store, cache, transmit, or otherwise make available any audiovisual content. When our where-to-watch guides link to a streaming provider, that link points to the provider's own page — we have no control over what that provider hosts, removes, or geo-restricts.
For takedown requests concerning content hosted on third-party streaming sites (Netflix, Max, Disney+, Prime Video, YouTube, Vimeo, ad-supported platforms, or unauthorized streaming services), you must contact those sites directly. MovieFarming will gladly remove a link from our own pages upon receipt of a valid notice, but we cannot remove content from services we do not operate. If you are unsure where the content is actually hosted, the network tab of your browser's developer tools will identify the origin server.
